Here is a video by the history channel showing the Phases of the Moon. The way the moon changes is amazing! Imagine what people must have thought before science could explain this phenomenon. Today, we know that the phases of the moon are determined by how the sun reflects off the moon's surface at differing angles as the moon rotates around the earth.
